As a freelance Creative Director and Executive Producer, I led the full creative vision and execution of A$AP Rocky’s performance at the prestigious Pièces Jaunes Gala in Paris. Held at the Accor Arena and broadcast nationally on France 2, the gala is one of France’s most significant televised charity events, backed by the Fondation des Hôpitaux and supported by Brigitte Macron, First Lady of France. The show blends high culture, philanthropy, and global music talent to raise funds for children’s hospital initiatives throughout the country.

I was responsible for shaping A$AP Rocky’s creative narrative within this culturally and politically significant context. My role included developing and directing the visual identity, staging, choreography and overall performance arc. I collaborated closely with the event’s core production team, French broadcast partners, and A$AP Rocky to ensure a seamless and culturally resonant presentation that balanced artistic edge with the formal tone of the event.

This marked A$AP Rocky’s first televised performance in France in several years, and his inclusion in the Pièces Jaunes Gala reflected both the event’s expanding global influence and his own cross-cultural impact as an artist. The show reached millions of viewers across France, with extended global visibility via press and digital syndication.

The project was a strong example of high-stakes, globally visible creative leadership, executed under tight timelines and within a multi-stakeholder framework involving cultural institutions, national media, and international talent.

  • I collaborated closely with the show’s French production team and national broadcast partners to deliver a seamless, high-production-value live performance under intense scheduling and creative constraints. My oversight included set design, wardrobe, camera blocking, choreography, and final on-air delivery.

    Impact: The performance was delivered flawlessly to a live audience of 20,000 at Accor Arena and to millions at home, setting a new creative bar for international artist integrations at legacy European broadcast events.
