I led the team responsible for developing and producing a slate of original podcasts and video podcasts that extended Amazon Music’s editorial voice and deepened engagement with key audience segments. This included the launch and growth of Country Heat Weekly, Amazon’s flagship country music podcast, and the relaunch of the iconic Zach Sang Show as a fully integrated video podcast experience.
Country Heat Weekly was built from the ground up as a multi-format series delivering artist interviews, cultural commentary, and new music discovery. Designed for both audio and video platforms, it served as a cornerstone of Amazon’s country strategy, creating an always-on editorial touchpoint for the genre’s biggest fans.
The Zach Sang Show, with its strong Gen Z appeal and loyal following, was evolved into a modern video podcast that brought longform artist conversations to Prime Video, Amazon Music, and YouTube. We retained the authenticity and humor that defined the original while upgrading the visual and production standards to meet Amazon’s platform expectations.
I oversaw all aspects of production, from show development and talent relations to distribution strategy and cross-functional alignment across marketing, editorial, and product teams. These shows became high-performing vehicles for artist promotion, audience retention, and platform differentiation in a competitive podcast landscape.

Both shows served as launchpads for major artist releases, offering in-depth storytelling moments and real-time fan engagement. I collaborated closely with label partners and internal marketing teams to time episodes with key drops, festival appearances, and exclusive content launches.
Impact: Episodes featuring top-tier artists consistently outperformed promotional benchmarks, driving notable spikes in both music streams and artist profile engagement during launch windows, and helping Amazon Music strengthen its role in campaign strategy conversations with industry partners.
